Elizabeth Warren, AOC and Kirsten Gillibrand Hated the Game of Thrones Finale, Too

It's not just you, me, our friends and families, and every user of IMDb and Rotten Tomatoes who hated the Game of Thrones series finale. Political superstars Elizabeth Warren and Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez express their disappointment with the episode, and its message. You can watch their video (spoilers, obviously) here: https://twitter.com/SenWarren/status/1130864643063328768

New York Senator and 2020 Presidential candidate Kirsten Gillibrand vents her own disgust with the finale in two videos, which you can watch here: https://www.huffpost.com/entry/kirsten-gillibrand-game-of-thrones_n_5ce3e1c3e4b075a35a2d3e4d

The silver lining to the Game of Thrones debacle? The Civil War alternate-reality drama Confederate, from GoT showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss, may stay in turnaround where I think it belongs.

And we can't say that Peter Dinklage didn't try to warn us! Just watch his eyes in this 2018 Entertainment Tonight interview, in which Dinklage's deadpan tone and rolling eyes are evocative of a hostage video, as he praises the vision and writing of the showrunners and tries to caution us that "you people are in for it": https://twitter.com/Cindtrillella/status/1128907443952660480

Some other fun Game of Thrones links, to celebrate the end of an era: here's the video I reference on tonight's podcast, in which George RR Martin asks Stephen King how he writes so fast: https://youtu.be/xR7XMkjDGw0

And here's Emilia Clarke's amazing story of survival, as she writes of her terrifying aneurysms in the New Yorker: https://www.newyorker.com/culture/personal-history/emilia-clarke-a-battle-for-my-life-brain-aneurysm-surgery-game-of-thrones

But we don't have Game of Thrones to kick around anymore, so it's on to speculation as how HBO will add to their programming to maintain its status as the home for must-watch, prestige television. So far, it looks like they're betting big on Watchmen, and the third season of Westworld, which looks amazing in this new trailer, which aired ahead of the GoT finale, starring Aaron Paul: https://youtu.be/deSUQ7mZfWk

And if you haven't watched it yet, the second season of Barry wrapped Sunday, as well. I highly recommend binging this series!
