Netflix has debuted its third and final season of Jessica Jones, and I’m near the end of a great, but imperfect viewing. This bittersweet, final season marks the end of the Netflix/Marvel experiment, and it has much of what made the entire endeavor so occasionally brilliant, and also occasionally a bit of a slog. Basically, too many episodes and decompressed storytelling are a frustrating mixed bag in television, just as they are in comics. But so far, Krysten Ritter and the rest of the excellent cast appear to be sticking the landing.
Meanwhile, I forgot all about the Veronica Mars movie, but suffice it to say that Ritter will not be returning to Neptune for the show’s upcoming fourth season, coming to Hulu July 26. It does look great, however, there’s an exciting new trailer, which I discuss on tonight’s podcast and you can watch here: https://youtu.be/pt0QuaQ0huk T
