Apple had many announcements at this year’s WWDC, including upgrades to iOS and MacOS, and a new OS for iPads called iPad OS. I know, I have no idea where they get these amazing names from either! Then again, my podcast is just called The Matt Sager Podcast, so maybe I’m not really in a position to be calling out anyone on rather on-the-nose product names.Read More
It’s been a rough couple of days, for several reasons, a couple of which I need to vent just a bit: Apple’s support of it’s own products: iMacs, and iCloud, is so utterly incompetent and disinterested that I can’t help but wonder why they’re branching out into streaming, gaming and news while their actual computer business is essentially an empty shop in which someone forgot to turn off the lights.
But as disappointments go, Apple has nothing on Hellboy - well at least Milla Jovovich and Mike Mignola are standing by this steaming heap, which is kind of admirable but also a bit pathetic and more than a little arrogant - we know we did a great job, it’s every single reviewer and audience member that failed to grasp our genius! I am in agreement with them that this will one day be a cult classic, but not for the reasons that they think it will. Think Rocky Horror, or better yet The Room.Read More
Let's go over all the highs and lows of Apple’s many new services, from news to gaming to their new streaming service, Apple TV Plus! Also, now we know why Steven Spielberg has really been so down on Netflix, and it’s both exciting and tremendously disappointing. I mean, if you love his work as I do, it’s great, but if you respected him as I do - sort of - it’s a big let-down, and a clear conflict of interest. But - Amazing Stories!! So, it’s all exciting, if a bit huge and not yet entirely clear. The new Apple credit card sound amazing, although it is all sort of becoming a bit of a company store.Read More
It's that time again - time to update your iOS, macOS and even tvOS! Apple, you are killing me today! But it's better than wasting time with a silly podcast feud, which as an adult I'm embarrassed for my former co-workers who are attempting to goad me into. I won't take the bait, though I'm legitimately saddened by their need for attention, and the degree to which our former employers shun them. It took a lot of embarrassing, actionable behavior from these knuckleheads to make me unsympathetic towards their failed lives, but they pulled it off. I am sufficiently disinterested that I won't take the bait, and give them the attention they're craving. No, I'm quite busy updating all the computers, phones, tablets and streaming boxes, thank you very much.Read More
